Ingredients

  • 3 c AP Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients.
  2. Add olive oil and blend with fingers or fork, until mixture is sandy.
  3. Add water and mix with your hands. Knead dough 5-7 minutes, until a smooth, elastic ball is formed.
  4. Place in bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Allow to rise 1-3 hours.
  5. Alternatively, the dough can be placed in the fridge overnight. Approximately three hours before use, remove it from the fridge and allow it to warm to room temperature. This develops a better flavor and chewier texture in the dough.
