Garden Pasta alfredo

  • Assorted garden veggies, cleaned and sliced as desired
  • Olive oil
  • Salt, pepper
  • Cooked pasta
  • Salt
  • Béchamel Sauce
  • 3 tbl butter
  • 3 tbl flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh Herbs


  1. Prepare assorted veggies for sautéing.
  2. Sauté in skillet until all veggies are cooked.
  3. Remove veggies to dish.
  4. Melt butter in skillet.
  5. Whisk in flour
  6. Slowly add milk, whisking until thick.
  7. Add parmesan, salt, nutmeg and whisk until smooth. Return veggies to sauce and toss to coat. Pour over cooked pasta, garnish with fresh herbs, parmesan.
  8. Bechamel Sauce is an amazing base for macaroni and cheese, sausage gravy, Alfredo, as a sauce over grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, or chicken pot pie! It is a vital staple for any home cook!
